If I only had her legs, too...
Yesterday I picked up a conference/speakerphone for a dissertation defense this afternoon. Good thing I got it early, because it didn't work. I called NTS for assistance and they said they'd send someone out first thing this morning. Which they did. It was, fortunately for me, someone I knew from my Computer Center days (huzzah for old network ties and unintentional puns). I was, I admit, pleased with myself when he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, and couldn't get the spare he'd brought to work, either. After about fifteen minutes he called someone else for help and we were informed that we had two phones of a model that doesn't work at all anywhere on campus. Oh KU. He left to get me a different phone and return the ones that do not play nice with KU's phone lines. As he was leaving, we had this conversation:
Him: "I want to tell you something that I hope doesn't offend you."
Me: "Norman, you've known me for over twenty years. I think you're pretty aware of what offends me."
Him: "Okay, well my wife and I are big fans of this show called Stargate. And there's this woman on that show..."
You know where this is going. I told him that wasn't offensive at all, was actually pretty flattering, and he could compare me to Claudia Black anytime he wanted.
I want gray contact lenses even more now. Useful for Claudia Black impersonations, the Sherlock costume, and that notion I've had of getting a spray tan and having light eyes for a dance gig.

Jbird has also mentioned a number of times that Meghan Ory, as Red Riding Hood (http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1210299904/nm0651441) and her alter, Ruby (http://www.imdb.com/media/rm674607360/nm0651441) in Once Upon A Time resembles you quite a bit, which is badass as hell since she's a She Wolf as RRH.
