I am scheduling a PhD defense right now, and two of the committee members are named Moriarty and Turnbull. WTF. My fandoms are bleeding over into my real life in freakish ways.

Remember I mentioned the Nerd Night presentations at Pachamama's and how I was thinking about doing one on slashfiction, but first I wanted to attend a couple? I knew I wouldn't make it to this month's meeting because of my dedication to Crossfit, and today I found out that two of the three presenters were people I know, talking about things I really would've liked to learn. *facepalm*

Stupid dedication to Crossfit. It seemed like such a good idea at the time.

And today, I really need to set my priorities to getting shit done at work.

Focusing on my current work is hard, though, because I just had two new opportunities become available to me in regards to involving myself in fandom and I want to go dabble around on that. But I am way behind on dealing with the Campbell Conference, and that stuff's not gonna deal with itself. Everyone once in a while it hits me that Holy Fucking Shit I Am Running The Campbell Conference All By Myself This Year and I have to beat down my immediate inclination to go throw myself in a well.

I'll make work up later. I just really wanted to clean the shower, which grew into scrubbing both upstairs bathrooms, before I used the shower to clean me. Which I'm about to do. Then work. Then kids. Then work.
