Heard back from one, who has 4 meeting already (don't know what type of car, but 5 for 4 hours does NOT SOUND LIKE FUN) in Hutchinson. Hoping there's some space in the McPherson ride.

On the other hand, my hubby (who was all upset I was running away for the day) said we might just take the camper up to the KOA up at Topeka & stay there Friday & Saturday! He's pretty anti-political (he'll talk about it, but won't really participate D:), so doesn't want to participate, but at least I have one other option!

As abhorrent as it is, I have to say that part of me supports the GOP's attempts to roll back civil liberty by 20, 40, or 200 years. By exposing themselves as ultra-right-wing extremists, they'll alienate a huge percentage of their base and perhaps finally achieve a more centrist position, rather than the progressively farther-right-than-thou stance they've adopted since Reagan.
