RDJ being interviewed about Guy Ritchie's hesitance regarding casting him for Sherlock Holmes.

Last night mckitterick was engrossed in working on Jack & Stella. I settled in with some booze and my netbook and fired up Archive of Our Own (my fave site for slashfic) and it was down. *sigh* Most of my bookmarks for fave stories and authors are off that. Typical.

We saw Prometheus yesterday. It was fantastic. I've now seen two movies this summer (in the theater) about which I have no complaints other than the teensiest of teensy nitpicks. If that. Amazing.

Today is Laundry and Cleaning and Food Prep for the week. Thrilling!

WTF we lost power right as I was going to post this. Took about 30 seconds for everything to come back on. Huh. Maybe...maybe I won't be doing that laundry right away.

There was a link listed after the credits for Prometheus that goes to an interesting timeline (http://www.weylandindustries.com/timeline) of Weyland Industries.

Also, there's a TED Talk with Sir Peter Weyland (http://www.weylandindustries.com/tedtalk) from 2023 that was a bit of viral marketing they put out prior to the release and it gives you a little more perspective on the man who thought up the project.

AO3 has been down a lot lately. Apparently, they got really popular really quickly, and their servers can't handle it. But they're working on rewriting a bunch of the code to try and fix the major problems, and they think they'll be done within the next couple weeks.

Good to know, thanks. I'll limit my time on there. One user less probably won't make a difference in bandwidth load, but...and there's always Tumblr.
