Goal Post

Last week's goals:

Continue to eat well Knocked this one out of the park. My food choices were 100% appropriate. Avoiding nuts and fruit also eliminated snacking. High-fives all around.

Make the mock-up for commissioned Frock Coat Check.

Avoid caffeine during the week I completely forgot about this and bought some coffee from the cafeteria downstairs on Friday. WTF, brain? I did fine the rest of the week and then Friday I bought coffee. I wasn't even tired. I just felt like coffee and forgot about my goal. WTF.

This week:

Attempting the no-coffee thing again and this time I hope to remember about it all five days of the workweek.

Exercise at home three times It's too fucking hot to go to Crossfit. The box isn't air-conditioned and I overheat easily. I've already come close to throwing up twice during a WOD and I don't want to push my luck. I've got to continue with strength training, though, so I'll be devising some home workouts.

Make some art Non-sewing-related art. Maybe some art cards or a collage cigar box. I'm gonna start on that as soon as I'm done dicking around on the internet. Yay art!

Do love the art cards, i have a couple hundred here with and with out art, because i like them that much and never know when inspiration will hit. I have thought of doing the cigar box thing. I find boxes to be interesting. I have a idea about doing a diorama of some thing and sealing the box shut. i have a few wooden boxes that i could put down hills and tree's in to them and then seal them up. Oh the opportunities....

Ha! I broke for coffee on Friday as well. I was buzzy all Friday night!
Otherwise, .. good going!

I didn't ride my bike to work today as planned because it's forecasted to be so hot by the time I'd be riding home. And the leftover coffee I reheated without thinking this morning (don't judge me) was hubby's brew...NOT DECAF. Egad. I am zooming like crazy!

z-o-o-m!!!

I drink leftover coffee, too. I usually just pour mine over ice, though.

I am all fired up to go on the Whole9 train, and go all paleo. I am starting my Whole30 after my mom leaves... and am scared as hell but also excited. Any tips for me?

Woooo! Congratulations and good luck! The best thing that'll help you is to have a supportive partner who won't put trigger foods in your path.

Make sure you have lots of quality fatty things to snack on, should you get a craving. Like some kale sauteed in lots of coconut oil. Sounds weird, but it helps. Whole9 actually just posted a great blog post today about what what to expect on a Whole30. You should check it out!

I've got their book "It Starts With Food", along with a couple-three Paleo cookbooks. I'm pretty stoked but also pretty intimidated, lol. The biggest things I'm nervous about are cheese and diet soda. Those are my Kryptonite.

Just don't have either of those things in the house. And know that you'll feel like such a weasel if you actually go to the grocery store to buy them. It's only thirty days!

When are you starting?

[identity profile] annamatic.livejournal.com 2012-06-26 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
She flies back home 30 Jun, so I figure 1 Jul is as good a day as any.

I KNOOOOOOOW, not to have it in the house, but dang. CHEEBZ. Vaughn and Miles like it. Miles does seems to present a slight dairy allergy, so I might just have to be HEY. NO DAIRY. NO CHEEBZ. DIS A CHEEBZ FREE ZONE FOR A BIT NAO.

Cheese is VERY non-Whole30 I know. I'm not going to eat it. But afterwards I might do it as my first "re-introduction" test food. JUST TO SEE.
