Blacked-out blur
Time-wise, the conference isn't quite halfway over. But responsibility-wise, I'm in the home stretch. Gotta get through the signing (12:30 to 1:45 today) and then things are mostly trouble-free. Well, provided the hotel doesn't burn down. Sunday afternoon I take one of our authors to catch her flight home and then it's over for another year.
Right now I'm hanging out in the lobby of the hotel while the morning session of the conference is going on. I like hotel lobbies. Well, nice hotel lobbies, anyway. Is that unusual? I like the people-watching. And everyone on staff here is so nice. I am, however, sitting directly across the room from the coffee shop. It was the only space with an electrical outlet. One week and a day today coffee-less. It's not hard, but it's sad-making.
I'm doing the 100 Push-Up Challenge with
shanmonster and noticed something odd the past couple days. Instead of doing just one, two, three push-ups as directed, I've been doing as many as I can without taking a break. I made it up to ten and did ten for three days in a row. Now I'm on day fourteen and the past two mornings I've been able to do only six in a row in good form. Weird.
In case you think I've given up my Sherlock love for Avengers, I haven't, quite.

And yes, this heat is brutal. My strength and endurance have gone way down.

I haven't been to Crossfit in nearly a month because I know exercising in the heat (our box isn't air-conditioned) would do really bad things to my body. I'm exercising at home, but it's not the same. =(

My aerial silks class and kung fu class aren't air-conditioned, either. It's brutal.
I'm glad the gym where I occasionally teach kickboxing does have AC.

Ugh. Poor thing.
