Oh, I read fics all the time and I know have links open, either of stories I've been meaning to read, or authors whose works I haven't plowed through yet.

Mebbe I'll give "Darkling, I Listen" another try. There's several folks on tumblr who LOVE IT SO MUCH but I read the first chapter and a half and was like, Meh. It wasn't that it was AU--gawd, I read shit-tons of AU--I just didn't like the writer's style. But reapersun drew art for it, for fuck's sake. I should give it another chance. Maybe it picks up after a few chapters, I dunno.
