A good day

Soooo, happy Thanksgiving for those of you in the U.S. who get the day off. Woo! I'm not doing shit this year to Observe The Holiday. I'm getting to where I prefer not to observe holidays anymore. I sure do appreciate the days off, though.

This is my last opportunity to relax before my job gets crazy, since I'll have only weekends off until Spring Break. Xmas and New Year's don't count since they're on Tuesdays this year and I gotta work on the Mondays prior. Bleh.

But anyway, hurray for having today and tomorrow off! I'm incredibly pleased that the weather is so unseasonably warm, so we can put in some good and comfortable time working on the Chevelle.

Until mckitterick wakes, though, it's Porn-and-Tumblr time! MmmmmmYes. SO MANY REASONS TO BE THANKFUL.

Cooking. Lots and lots of cooking. Which is good because my schedule the last four months, I haven't been and thus have been eating too much crap. Hopefully I will be stocked up with leftovers.

Still in my jammies. :) Got something started in the slow-cooker and have an hour or so until diermuid romances the turkey before it goes in the oven.

We tend to watch a lot of TV on this day. Just finished watching the parade. I think they've got some Glee re-runs going on NetFlix right now, but soon I'll claim it for the Westminster Dog Show and then Punkin Chunkin!

I have informed the family that, if they must come to the dinner table in their PJs, then they should at least make sure they shower and put on *clean* PJs. That's how we dress for dinner 'round here.

I am hijacking on this comment because it reeks of awesome. We had a lovely time with (MY) folks and reservations, and seeing the breathtaking view of all of Lawrence from high. As soon as they scarpered home before dark consumed their drive, I changed into jammies and drank and smoked on the deck in such.
Life is GOOD.

My job gives me a turkey as a Christmas "bonus", and I enjoy cooking massive amounts of food....

So we're doing that.
