Not my division
I can't figure out how to embed this video from the source, so just go here if you want to see a spot-on satire about marketing and women.
My left hip is bothering me a lot. It feels hot all the time, a constant, burning ache, and the only time it doesn't hurt is during my walk-abouts and about five minutes after. I'm worried that the hip-opening yoga sequences are doing more harm than good. I'm going to keep doing them for another week, to see if the squats I'm doing every hour help loosen things up in there.
Because a few members of the admissions committee aren't available to meet next week, it turns out I do get to take a long weekend for my birthday! Hurray! This is especially good news since I'm over hours on vacation. To give an idea of exactly how far I'm over in vacation hours, if I don't take any time off before the end of the fiscal year in June, I'll lose more than seventy hours of accrued vacation time. Yeah, time to take some days off.
Tonight after acupuncture I'm going to a restorative yoga class at Westside Yoga, taught by Yeshe, the woman doing the Friday intro to bellydance class. I'm looking forward to it! If I love it, I'm signing up for their monthly unlimited yoga program. I could attend all three restorative yoga classes every week (two of which are led by Yeshe) for fifty bucks a month.
The past few grapefruits I've had have been really uninspiring. I suspect the nasty weather is affecting the citrus crops. Since grapefruit and apples are the only fruit I'm eating right now (sauteed apples mmmmmmm), it's not looking like it's going to be too difficult to give up fruit. Small blessings.
Lastly, for any BBC Sherlock watchers (and especially Lestrade fans) who aren't on my Tumblr, check out my Tumblr post today. Now that I think of it, though, I think all my Sherlock fangirls follow me on Tumblr, so maybe this inclusion is pointless. Better safe than sorry, though. Mmmmmm, Greg Lestrade.
