Getting shit done today

This is brilliant! Nobody Cares About Your Dreams. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ms_danson for the link on that. I need to subscribe to Krista's blog. I always knew she was a badass in the fitness world, but apparently she writes a kick-ass essay, too.

I laughed until I cried:

Today I am actually Getting Shit Done, so I'm logging off until I've done the following:
Laundry
Empty the dishwasher
Finish yesterday's errands
Make laundry soap
Clean bathrooms, kitchen

[livejournal.com profile] msmitti is coming over for dinner, so I suppose I'd best get on it if I want to finish the list.

That "dreams" essay was fabulous. I related way too much to the ridiculous. I even remember my mom telling me "you are not that important" sometime in middle school when I was completely upset about a *serious crisis* I'm sure.

Good luck to you on getting all that done!

I really enjoyed that essay. It reminded me of a friend of mine who used to (and probably still does) go into epic descriptions of the dreams she had. I wish someone would tell her that nobody cares... I liked the rest of the essay, too, but that part resonated with me.

Those guys are so funny! I should only have looked that good when I was in labor.

Video = hilarity!

The essay reminds me of a Daniel Amen's 18-40-60 Rule: "When you are age eighteen you worry about what everyone thinks of you, when you are age forty you don't give a damn what anyone thinks of you, and when you're age sixty you realize no one has been thinking about you at all. People spend their days worrying and thinking about themselves, not you." -Daniel G. Amen
