Goal oriented
It's down to crunch time (literally) and I have renewed and upgraded my gym responsibilities. I will continue to put in my 60 minutes of cardio every morning, and add to the top of that weight lifting with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
adammaker, who has kindly agreed to be my partner in the afternoons. Adam, you were asking about goals? Well, my ultimate goal: One military style pushup and one underhanded pullup (is that a chinup)?
The choreography for the Koto drum piece that the advanced bellydance class is learning is kicking my ass, but I'm slowly getting it. I'm having problems with some of the transitions, but my biggest obstacle is the stuff with arm placement. I have a hard time remembering that the opposite arm should be moving with the foot in front. I think so hard about the arms that I wind up on the wrong foot. Frustrating. I think when we have it, though, it's gonna look amazing. Zada really does the best group choreography I've ever seen--including the professional dance troupes. God she comes up with great stuff. Which is why it's so damn hard to learn, I guess.
I have two brand new pairs of harem pants done and they're gorgeous. A third pair just needs elastic and I'll be set for dance pants for a while. Now to start on skirts. I'm working on embellishment on one skirt here at work today. Bad, bad, state employee! Yes, folks, this is your tax dollars at work. At least you can take comfort in the fact that I'll look super pretty in this skirt. With luck it might make an appearance tomorrow at Aladdin's. I don't think I'll get it completely done, but maybe mostly. Enough for a trial public run.
OK, off the keyboard for a while so I don't wipe out my wrist too early. Gotta do a lot of stitching today.
