Give me strength, and strength will help me through
Oh, good. Monthly cramps started this morning. GOOD NEWS is they mostly waited until after I finished my resistance training, so yay body way to go on that one.
I feel good about this week's workout. It's short, but effective. Even though there's not a lot to it, it took some serious resolve not to cut it short because damn those snatch/lunges are exhausting.
Suitcase Crunches, 2 sets of 15
Glute/Ham raises, 2 sets of 15
Push Press (I do mine with two 15lb dumbbells), 5 sets of 12
Upright row, 4 sets of 7 (I do one arm at a time, 15lbs)
Dumbbell snatch with overhead lunge, 4 sets of ten each side, alternating sides, 15lb dumbbell
After the third set, half my brain was going "okay, you can stop now your cramps are kicking in and nobody will know you skipped your last set" but the other half (the better half) reminded me that I'd only be cheating myself, and if I could do it, I would do it. And I did.
