1. Take your LJ username and replace each letter with the corresponding number (A=1, B=2, etc...). (sneaky sekrit hint: go see sheryls for a handy alpha-numeric translator.) If your name contains numbers, you'll need to convert them to letters first before you can convert to numbers. I got 129
2. Add all of the numbers together to create a kind of super number. ok, 12?
3. Make a note of the first digit of this number, then add the digits of the number together. um, 1 and 3
4. Find the post of this number in your LJ. If you don't have that many posts, add the digits together again. Keep doing so until the number is smaller than your pathetic number of posts. getting seriously lost here--do they mean I should add the 1 and 3? Or do they mean 13? I'll go with 13
5. Take the digit you noted in step 3, and count that many words into the post. That would be 1. Feeling more confident now
6. Use the resulting word in a Google Image Search, and select a picture from the first page. Except the word was "sent". That blows.
7. Post the results for us all to see! Ok, the pic is actually kinda cool

It apparently starts with the person who created it and tracks the progress through LJ users. It's a little creepy in a privacy-invasive sort of way, but I figure LJ is anything but privacy-oriented. =)

As there apparently is an arugment in the original thread that started it whether it kipes passwords, I have deleted it from my journal (even though I don't think it can actually do that as you have to already be logged in for it to work), just to be safe and changed my password.

Sorry if it passed on anything malicious. You get to used to such things being alright in LJ land.

Yeah, I translated the thread on babelfish, and it kept talking about passwords, so I deleted the thread (which I got from someone else, not you), and changed my password, too. Better safe than bonehead, I always say. =)
