Zimmerman not guilty

GOD DAMN IT.

I'm glad I put my happy ass post up before I read my F-page because I could still be in a good mood when I posted it. Now I'm just enraged (although not terribly surprised).



The NAACP is calling on the U.S. Justice Department to open a civil rights case against George Zimmerman and have launched a petition to Attorney General Eric Holder. There's a petition site, but it seems to be down at the moment.

All kinds of f'ed up. Zimmerman should probably have got manslaughter, because he's a fucking dumbass who acted with shocking irresponsibility and disregard for common sense and safety. No one was in any danger of death or grievous bodily harm until he created that situation.

While still horrible, at least it does look like the facts of the case are somewhat different than the article makes them out to be (I followed the link in the comments to the digital scan of the case).

I'll learn from this though - if I'm ever in a Situation, I'll just kill the chitinous fuck and be done with it. My odds of going free are apparently WAY better.

I figured that would be the case, since there is much about both cases that I haven't the time to research. This is why I've been relatively quiet about the whole thing.
