Things I love about working here
During the summer, when there's construction going on in the building, we often find the local fauna invading our workspace.
In what looks to be a repeat of last year's performance, a group of squirrels has found their way into our dropped ceiling and spend their days running back and forth over the none-too-sturdy tiles. This causes no end of nervous glances upwards from everyone sitting at a desk. It's only a matter of time, right?
And repeating their roles as insecta-non-grata are the wasps that buzz my office and land on my monitor and window. I hate them. I had to kill several last year and this year isn't looking much better. I would like to reassure current and former students that your MA theses and PhD dissertations are being put to good use.
