Ow

Driving home last night and got...Another Migrane. This one was so bad I woke up with it this morning. I couldn't even take anything because my stomach was rolling so bad I knew anything that went down would come right back up. It's amazing how fast these things come on. It's 11:00 and I'm back into work because of course today I have things that need to be done. But before I get to those...

From [livejournal.com profile] black_king comes A Different Personality Quiz. My results:

You are a WECF--Wacky Emotional Constructive Follower. This makes you a candle burning at both ends. You work until you drop, and you play until you can stand to work again. You have so much enthusiasm that you can find it hard to control on your own, and you appreciate the guidance that channels your energy and lets you be your best.
In a relationship, you require lots of attention and support. You often over-contribute and end up feeling depleted and cheated. You may benefit from more time alone than you grant yourself.
Your driving force is the emotional support of others--especially affection. You can run on empty for miles if you have positive energy behind you. Without it--as it occasionally must run dry--you are depressive, listless, and difficult to motivate.
You need a lot of affection. Get it any way you can, but never at the cost of your self-respect or well-being.

Migraines are so bad. =/ Can you lower the lights in your office at all? I have this osx program that changes the brightness of my screen (along with colour intensity), and saves settings for future migraines. Maybe you can find something like that? It sure helps me, because I don't have to squint at the screen all day.

I just got off of a 3 day migraine, and I'm still not sure it's gone. Crossing my fingers...

many gentle *hugs* your way.

Oh god, three days? Wow. I'm crossing my fingers for you.

I'm actually wearing my sunglasses at my desk. =) The computer settings would help if I wasn't surrounded by florescent light fixtures. As things stand: Sunglasses.

Hey, that was me, too!

Do you know what causes them?

I had migraines for years. I thought they were simply stress-related. It turned out it was from a pinched nerve in my neck. When I got tense, I'd bunch up the muscles in my neck, and pinch said nerve. Then I'd get a migraine. Which would make me more tense. Which would pinch the nerve more. And prolong the migraine.

I don't even use meds, anymore. I feel a migraine coming on, I just make sure to relax my neck. Poof. Migraine goes bye-byes.

Anyhow, a lot of migraines have distinct, treatable causes. If you haven't checked into this, I suggest doing so.

Mine are sinus migranes. I have huge sinuses (so say the doctors) and when they swell (due to weather, allergens, or, as far as I can tell, the drop of a hat) it can result in a migrane. I usually only get them once or twice a year. Two in two weeks is a first.

first off, I'm sending lots of hugs and kisses your way, cos you need affection and I'm sorry you have an icky migraine.

As for the results thingy... well, I hate that I can't know what the situation is for the choices on the quiz.
Course vs Plan for *what*? Dammit, if it's personal, it's one, if it's professional, it's the other.

Awww! I bask in your affection. Yum! I'm all better now, thankfully. Well, headache wise, anyway.

Stupid migraines.

Here's my response. Huh, don't know if I agree, but interesting:

You are an SRCL--Sober Rational Constructive Leader. This makes you an Ayn Rand ideal. Taggart? Roark? Galt? You are all of these. You were born to lead. You may not be particularly exciting, but you have a strange charisma--born of intellect and personal drive--that people begin to notice when they have been around you a while. You don't like to compromise, but you recognize when you have to.

You care absolutely nothing what other people think, and this somehow attracts people to you. Treat them well, use them wisely, and ascend to your rightful rank.
