Finding videos like this is the reason I still check FB once a day.
Because SERIOUSLY. How is your life not better for having seen that?
Today's Tumblr collection is Tuesday, January 14: Due South (part...4?). I had a ton of dS posts liked and I felt like I needed to prove I wasn't just a Sherlock tumblr after the past three weeks.
A long time ago I posted about how talking bad about yourself is bad for you and how I don't do it and I ask my friends not to do it, either. Here are some lovely words from Pat Cadigan about that issue and here is a comic about how ridiculous is the notion of "feeling fat."
I mentioned how I'm hungry, like, all the time, and after work yesterday was no different. When I got home I ate a can of sardines (yes, I know, but I like them, okay?) and twenty minutes later I was still hungry. Dinner wasn't going to be ready for another hour and a half, so I ate a handful of roasted pistachios. And I blew up like a balloon. It was hugely uncomfortable, crazy hard and tight across my belly, and I even had a bit of internal discomfort (rare). This was the first time I'd swollen more than an inch, tops, since the beginning of the month. Interesting, no? So now nuts are Off The Menu unless they're heavily incorporated into a dish, like using almond or sesame seed butter as a soup thickener, or roasted almonds sprinkled on a salad. I woke this morning still feeling a little uncomfortable in my belly and have had no desire to eat today (even though it's nearly noon).
Getting pretty hungry in here, though, so will break out the lunch soon. Nothing with nuts, though. Not today.
