Yep, it's a slow one
So I finally broke down and took one of those online IQ tests. Those of you who know me will find the italicized part highly amusing.
"Your IQ score is 135. This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others. Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results."
Um, math skills? Bwaaa haaa haaa! Let's just say I'm a really good guesser when it comes to those math questions. For anyone similarly in need of wasting time today, this was the Tickle.com IQ test. I'm tempted to take it again, do badly, and read how they break it to some poor jerk that he's really a dumbass.
UPDATE: Clicking randomly gave me this: "Your IQ score is 82. This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others. Your Intellectual Type is Inventive Inquisitor. You have the unusual distinction of being equally good at math and verbal skills. This means you are a creative thinker and are uniquely good at teaching others through experiences. You are also a great improviser and very good at handling change."
Inventive Inquisitor. Does that mean someone who doesn't know what he's doing, so he just makes shit up as he goes along? I also like the "equally good at math and verbal skills." I guess that's one way to phrase it.

"You are also a great improviser and very good at handling change." I read this as, essentially, "You would be a good asset to the cash line at McDonald's."

came for a nosy after your post about Lion Brand yarn tassels. Just out of interest, I did the IQ test and guess what it said?
"Your IQ score is 135
blah blah...

I would hate to have to burst their bubble by letting on that I'm numerically dyslexic and, anybody who knows me would probably laugh at the "verbal skills" bit as I'm far from quick-witted and articulate. I also scored differently on a series of tests done by the Psychology faculty of the college I used to attend!

Curious--have you tried the Lion Brand for tassels?

we do get Lion Brand here but I've never tried it. I'm not very scientific at choosing tassel yarn but tend to go by 'feel'. I've made 5 tribal belts so far and just been lucky I think.

A lot of tests suffer from it, sadly. I'm still waiting for one to come up with, "I'm sorry. You really are a waste. Please eliminate yourself from the gene pool as soon as possible." option. Sadly, I don't think it will ever come.
