I went by "aprilstarchild" on damn near fucking EVERYTHING starting in 1997 or so.

But then I got a bicycle blog where my email was my legal name and I wanted to be able to tell my parents about it, so I used aprillikesbikes.

AND THEN I got a tumblr and decided, dang, I could use a change....so....april-likes-things, I guess? That works!

And since I was on a roll at that point, I made my ao3 fangirl_on_a_bicycle. Which.....honestly, I'm thinking of switching my LJ and tumblr to some variation on that, too.

Which is very odd, for me, because I've had my legal first name in all my usernames since I first got online in 1995. I'm not sure I can give it up, just yet. Sigh.
