You guys wouldn’t shut up about how much you loved me, but when I was hungry, you cut funding for my food; I was thirsty, and you blocked laws against dumping toxic materials into my drinking water; I was a stranger, and you pushed for harsh immigration policies that broke up my family; I was sick, and you said you’d rather drive the entire US government into a brick wall than ensure that I get health care; I was in prison, and you pushed for privatization schemes that rewarded companies for creating inhumane conditions for me. For real – have you guys ever even *read* any of my stuff? I’m pretty sure it’s available online.’
