Last night's P!nk show was great! I'm not completely on board with the new trend of singers not actually singing for large portions of their concert, but with all the gymnastic antics P!nk performs, I'm willing to give her a pass. How in the world they coordinate her flying around the arena on a wire harness and land (near-literally) on a dime astounds me. Never have I seen backup dancers and singers look to be having such a fantastic time. She must be an amazing person to tour with. I thought it was strange that she won't say "fuck" during her live shows, but she's okay with her and her dancers simulating (sometimes violent and borderline abusive) sex. Um. I'm not a parent, but I'd rather children hear an F-bomb dropped than watch dancers pretending to hump and then slap each other around. Overall, though, I was so happy to be given the opportunity to go to the show and am incredibly grateful to athenaartemis for the ticket.

So envious of your Pink concert, I'll bet it was awesome. I'm completely boggled by her not saying "Fuck".. not even when it's her lyrics or the title of her song? Was the borderline abuse during "Try"? That video and the performance I saw on a show left me uncomfortable as well, but I suppose it was supposed to?

That sewing gal has some great patterns (faux wrap dress!). I'd say from looking at the leggings tutorial, anyone with narrow hips and a bubble butt like me or wide low hips is going to have to alter it or end up with leggings that flatten the butt, since she doesn't measure the hips. Adjusting the crotch curve should help.
I love the way she says "crutch". My aunt says it that way, too.

The abuse portrayed in Try is, I think, mostly metaphorical, and as you say, yes, it's supposed to be uncomfortable and is therefore appropriate. The dancey-abuse in the show wasn't just during that song though, involved the back-up dancers, and had no context. Me no likey.

I assumed the behavior with the background dancers was supposed to reflect all the talk about kinky sex that the MC gave us. But I often assume such behavior is supposed to be seen as prenegotiated and consensual because the other option - that's it's just abusive - makes me ragey.

I agree "supposed to be" and in general that was true (even with the lap-dance silhouettes), but the part with the two women contact-dancing with no lyrics or context was really uncomfortable-making. And I stand by the fact that it makes no sense to say that simulating sex is okay for little eyes but the word "fuck" is not okay for little ears.
