AW YEAH.

(Tragically?) It's all SFW. Let me tell you, this collection was a long time brewing because you do not want to spend much time browsing the "handcuffs" tag on Tumblr. Trust me.

I have my first long session with Jennifer the Hypnotherapist tonight. We're going to start this Cellular Release Therapy technique which requires that I bring a list of the traumatic things in my life. When I said "Uh, that's gonna be a really short list," she amended it to Things That Have Been Difficult and now I'm all "Uh, that's like most of my adult life?"

Actually, no, I didn't. It was all the worst kind of porn.

Tons of women in subjective/submissive poses and very little interesting interaction, you know? It was mostly just "How can we get a picture of her wrists in cuffs and her (shaved) genitals in the same photo while completely removing anything interesting about her person or qualities as something other than an object for our gratification?"

I got to thinking the other day about BDSM porn, and how it seems that in fic and in video, slash/gay BDSM is so much more balanced; there's not HALF as much threatening and demeaning language as there is in het. And of course trying to find het BDSM, or even regular porn that IS balanced without being so vanilla it puts one to sleep-well, I could fall asleep looking for it! *sigh*

(This all came about because Dean asked me why I liked watching slash vids so much-that was an interesting conversation!)

I know there's a few woman run, female gaze oriented porn studios out there; I may have to do some looking to see if I can find something in their offerings....

There are entire essays written about this--especially as it pertains to fanfic. Next time I run across one on Tumblr, I'll try to remember to send you the link.

For woman-friendly video porn, Good Vibrations used to have a list of recommendations. Video porn isn't my bag, so I can't give you any personal suggestions, sorry.
