Tuesday, December 17: Snakes. Heh, saffronhare, speaking of entire species of animals that people dislike...

This will probably be my last Tuesday collection until sometime in January. My Busy Season at work has kicked into full gear.

Oh, I had to add: I FUCKING LOVE MEDUSA. I always have. When I was a little girl I had a Disney book of Greek myths that featured Carravaggio's Medusa on the cover. I would stare at that thing for hours. I felt so bad for her (even though I didn't even know the full story yet) and I kind of wanted for my own hair to turn into snakes.

I don't think I would actually wear the Medusa hat, but maybe I should think about making a Medusa costume for Halloween someday.

I fucking love snakes. I caught a garter snake in my yard once and tried to keep it as a pet. (I think I was...twelve? Thirteen?) I let it go after a couple of weeks. (I fed it earthworms from a bait shop.)

I used to want a ball python until I realized I liked rodents too much to take care of an animal that would eat rodents. Even giving them dead frozen mice would make me feel bad. And that was before I had pet rats or was a vegetarian!

I briefly had a ball python and he was lovely. Alas, the store where I got my mice was not reputable and he got worms and died less than two months after I got him. UNCOOL.

I've since become a lot more affectionate toward rodents and I don't think I could deal with feeding a snake now. Not that I'm the market for any type of pet anyway.
