It's really good.

I'm mystified as to what's going on with the applications today. Yesterday I had twenty-some new apps and I honestly don't know how many letters of recommendation to process (maybe fifty?). Today, two letters of rec and one application. Do that many people really do stuff like that over the weekend? In any case, I'm stuck here today with not a lot going on, nobody here, and no apps to process. Um.



It might be a long day.

Yeah, the only way I get out of here early is if the governor pardons me. Literally. sigh

Next year, though? I was looking at the HR calendar and it looks like state employees get half a day on the 24th, and all of the 25th and 26th off. What the fuck? That has never happened in the dozen years I've worked here and I'm having problems believing it's accurate.

Working on Christmas Eve bummer. They let us off the 24th-25th, I slept MOST of yesterday. Went on a Christmas visit and then drank through some Christmas movies. Today I went to church with Mom just to make her happy. I laughed at myself for having judgey feelings about what people were wearing!
