Oh you
So this post showed up on my Tumblr dash this morning and I had to laugh at it because seriously? I'm pretty sure the folks who downloaded it are also gonna watch it on PBS when it airs. And buy the DVDs. Because has she not met fangirls?
Slackmistress is a television writer, so I understand she's sensitive about this stuff, but NGL my main reaction to her (IMO misguided) rant was just an:

I know her personally and I felt like dropping her an email saying "Um, hey, some of us didn't download, we just unblocked the BBC lockdown and we still plan to watch on PBS" etc. etc. etc. but then I realized why the hell am I justifying myself to her? And what of it if people download? How many times has it been shown that piracy does not lead to lost revenue?
It's one thing to announce that you're unsubscribing from blogs that post spoilers because you want to avoid spoilers. But flouncing off in a (debatably valid) moral huff is just insulting to everyone involved.
