Okay, so mckitterick and I are signing up for this.







In order to get in my 300 per day, I'm bringing the 20lb kettlebell we have now up to the office so I can use that one during the workday. We're headed to Dick's in Olathe tomorrow night to pick up the 16kg (35lb) bell for me and 24kg (52lb) bell for mckitterick for home use. We also need to get Before pics of both of us taken and uploaded to the Facebook group.

It strikes me now, that the POV of that IZ AWESOME photo would be the view from the bottom of a KB at the apex of a full swing. Unintentional joy!

Also: we covered KB swings (6#, but YAY) and *punching* in PT today. So stoked. Two more visits. Next week, we'll do some overhead work.

What brand/style of kettlebells are you buying? (I'm curious cuz I'm looking to buy a few but I don't know what brands/styles to trust.)

Um. Whatever they have at Dicks? I'd like to get the ones with the rubberized bottoms because they look a little friendlier to floors, but I'll probably go with whatever's cheapest. I mean, it's a kettlebell. They're cast in all one piece so it'd be pretty tough to break one.

I got mine from the cheapest place I could find them online - I think it was muscledriverusa.com.

Retail outlets like Sports Authority are, unfortunately, expensive, and the demand for them thanks to crossfit's popularity means you won't get much of a price break going for used ones at places like Play It Again Sports or wherever.
