Glycogen stores
Thanks,
redheadfae for this link on waking up at 3am which is exactly what has happened to me three nights in a row this week. Including last night. But I still made it to the gym this morning.
RAWR.
As I mentioned to her, my carbs are super low on the SCD. And since I'm continuing to lift heavy, my glycogen stores are probably zero-to-nothing right now. It also coincides with what I've read about how women with thyroid issues need more carbs than most people because glycogen is what helps the liver do the T3/T4 conversion properly. So I'll be mixing up that little cocktail (probably with a little spoonful of magnesium for good measure) tonight!

There is nothing on this planet that is universally "great for losing weight" except starvation. Don't worry about making weight loss your priority. Health is more important than carrying extra fat. Did you see those amazing (and fat!) yoginis in that Tumblr collection I put up a few weeks ago?
Take it from me, if you're in adrenal fatigue, not sleeping, and under near-constant stress, you are not gonna lose weight. Do your mental and emotional state a favor and stop worrying about it. Get healthy instead. You can be healthy and fat at the same time and fuck anyone who says different.

My mission for next week, aside from the not smoking in the car thing, is to find yoga, either online or at the university or something, that I can do.

I'm excited to try it :)

And yes, if you go to a teacher make sure s/he provides modifications for different abilities! There is no one-right yoga for everyone and the teacher needs to go with that.
