It's a Monday

I had a lovely breakfast planned of the last of my potato salad and some cold chicken. As I was finishing adding the mayo, mckitterick said "That's not your mayonnaise," and so he gets to eat my much-anticipated breakfast. And he doesn't even like potato salad.



I hope I can figure out how to use this GoPro by Wednesday. I am so bad at learning technology, y'all. So, so bad.

Someone offered me her ticket to the Justin Timberlake concert, but it's July 31 and I get back from San Diego on the 28th. I don't think I'm gonna have the energy. If I liked more of his music I would make the effort, but his stuff--especially the stuff on the recent album--is so hit and miss for me.

So far, today is a bunch of blah. Not enough bad stuff to be truly shitty, but enough to be vaguely shitty. Bleh.

Incidentally, I tried that crispy chicken and carrots recipe. Not so bad...I think I'll get better at it with practice. My flaws were gracefully covered by subtle application of mayo.

Crispy chicken is kind of an art form. The chicken has to be shredded just right, and you need just the right amounts of heat and fat--always better to err on the side of too much for both, but that can lead to other disasters. YAY MAYO!

That's what I sort of figured. It's nice when the "failures" are pretty darn tasty on their own. Also: I steamed and devoured a bunch of green beans from my very own garden. I feel mighty.

Yeah, and it was a short-lived victory. I can't figure out anything else, nor can I get my computer's USB port to recognize it, so fuck this. I'm not going to worry about it anymore. I'll just bring my old-fashioned point-and-shoot digital camera.

You can wear it anywhere, really. One place I won't be wearing it is Comic-Con, though. I'm giving up on effectively learning how to use this thing by Wednesday. Too much stress and I've got enough on my plate already.
