Last night I went to Natalie Parker's book release party (yay, Natalie, wooo!). I ran into someone I haven't seen in a while and she asked about my health. I talked to her a little bit about my recent crises (insurance issues, getting declined by the Mayo clinic) and started to feel my throat tighten up. Nope. Still not ready to talk about it.

Went to bed as soon as we got home, and was asleep by 9:30. Woke up this morning at 6:15. Am already tired and achey in my back and hips. Right wrist isn't feeling all that great, either. Pretty sure I could fall back asleep, given the opportunity.

I want to be at home on the couch, curled up in a blanket, and reading fic.

Just general meh. Also, we have three POC in this franchise, now, and ONE of them makes the trailer? For, like, half a second?

This reminds me, we went to see a local original rock opera last night and it was awesome. Only later, thinking on it, did I have the, "Huh, straight white male main character is the savior, as usual." Which makes me think maybe I do need to get involved with the group that puts them on.
