Some small success
Last night I carefully packed up all the bodice supplies in a tidy plastic bin and closed it. That can wait until the weekend, thank Maude. With that out of my way, I could finally wade through the crap in my sewing room to locate the half-finished Bellydance costume #2. Managed to get not quite as much done as I'd hoped, but still a decent amount. Finished the belt entirely, completed embellishment on the sleeves, and got the skirt cut for BD costume #1. Realized that I used the fabric I was going to use for the BD costume #2 for the whore skirt. Oops. Must pick up something else now. Good thing I still have a JoAnn's coupon.
So, revised to-do list:
Whore costumes
Start all over on bodices from square one, but with assistance
Make or purchase pouch/purse
Purchase belt and fan
Dance costumes
Piece together and line vest for costume #2
Hem skirt for costume #1
Purchase and cover bra for costume #1
Skirt for costume #2 (I can always use an old skirt if I run out of time, though)
My goodness but things are looking so much more manageable! I might even go crazy and make myself a second chemise for the whore costume. Last night while digging through dance costume fabrics I found a possible contender for a lovely tan chemise with tone-on-tone embroidery. Hmmmmm....
I'm quite amused by the fact that
0verdrive really really likes BD costume #2. To the point that he's commented on it (unprovoked) more than twice. It's very much against type for me: gray, blue and silver when I'm pretty much a black, red, and gold girl.

I got two belts from him, he's a very good seller who responds to email quickly. No black pouches in stock at the moment, only two shades of brown. If you really need black and want to try this seller, I can email asking if he will do up 2 black pouches and we can go in on an order together.
