Over on cm.net people are sharing pics of their workspaces (whether home, office, home office, etc.). In case you're interested in seeing what I look at all day

My desk/work area. I stood on my little couch-chair thing to get this--you can see part of it in the second photo with the pillows piled on the end. I'm not actually 9 feet tall.

What people see when they walk in my office.

A closer view of my computer area and the magnificent Chinese lantern that hangs in my corner. A friend's mother dug it out of a dumpster for me when a Chinese restaurant in Wichita, KS, closed.
The little blue paper taped to the bottom of my monitor comfortingly reassures me: When work feels overwhelming, remember that you're going to die."
The postcards on the walls are almost all from my internet friends. The-Toast used to have regular post exchanges and some of us on cm.net have kept up sending each other stuff through the mail. I highly recommend the practice.
