Sunday Six
Started what I hope will be the piece I finish in time for
teaotter 's Getting Together Challenge. I'm proposing a late-series get-together--post wormhole! That tiny window of time between the internet broadcast and meeting up with the SID and Nightmare Dude's entourage the next day.
I am tired, though, and massively distracted by a particular gif that
qikiqtarjuaq posted in the latest Guardian Body Language post.
So there's this, which (for those few poor souls still reading me here who aren't fans) happens in the show:

and then there's this fanedit:

which I have watched loop approximately twenty thousand times so far today.
I...just...uhhhhhh....no wording no brain.

“So. Time travel. That was interesting. I see why you couldn’t talk about that.”
A slight twitch turned up the corner of Shen Wei’s mouth. Relieved, he leaned back, propping himself up on his elbows.
“Any other secrets about your past, well, our past, that you can’t share?”
Shen Wei turned to face him, eyes tracking up his sprawled body, a visible swallow.
“I believe the timeline is safe now.”
How do people count these six, anyway? For the two I've done, I counted a line of dialogue as one line and the other sentences separately.I am tired, though, and massively distracted by a particular gif that

I'm cis, but I can abstract out what you are seeing...

Yay! I love it! And your six!
Also, I don't know if you're a Supernatural fan? But Sam has a great quote that totally made sense in context but A) sounds ridiculously obvious otherwise and B) has become fandom slang for fade-to-black, aka "what happened overnight?!" The quote being, "It was night and now it's day!" (Said in exactly the earnestly "shocked" way you might imagine.) Guardian has So Many of these great time-skips-that-are-treated-as-continuous-moments, and I'm v. excited to see what happens in this one! :D
(My sister and I were watching the episodes in the past and I'm pretty sure we both said it, unprompted, when the scene switches from Daqing talking to Shen Wei and Kunlun on the cliff at night to all of them running up behind the rebels during the day. "It was night and now it's day!")

I am SPN fan-adjacent! My partner
It really is a very relevant crossover quote for Guardian.
Sometimes I wonder if the show creators did all that stuff on purpose to allow for people to play in the sandbox. It just seems like it happens a lot for a show that's only 40 episodes. I suppose this is where Watsonian vs. Doylist conversations could be helpful.

So sort of like the censors for Guardian, I guess.
Censors: "It was always a brotherhood!"
Fans: "It was literally never a brotherhood!"
It just seems like it happens a lot for a show that's only 40 episodes.
It sure covers a lot of time relative to how much we actually see on-screen! ♥

(sorry about the extra notif, apparently I leaned on some keyboard shortcut that posted before I was done lol)

Hope this one turns out well! I'm trying not to feel ~pressured~ by the deadline and the fact that I'm also writing it for
Also I feel like I edit about half the comments I post so no worries!

I also like getting-together at that point when pretty much everything is finally out in the open :)

Oh, excellent, thank you! That gives me a lot more leeway to choose different sections. BUT! Limiting myself to six sentences means I made myself chop an unnecessary line from what I posted, so hurray for forced self-editing?

Yeah, what I'm working on right now is definitely the least angsty sex I've written. It's...actually kinda tough? *laugh-cry emoji*

But it totally counts, IMO. In the details for the challenge,
