Sunday Six
First, this short Twitter thread of Weilan touches. MY HEART.
Second, for all y'all size-difference kinksters, this gif of Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu in rehearsal shows off their vastly different body shapes. Bai Yu might be a hair taller, but sweet mary he's so tiny. I feel like I could probably break him in half and dear god would I love to try.
And now to the writing stuff.
What fucking idiot thought it would be a good idea to write porn where one of the participants is non-corporeal? I mean, there's sexting sure. I've read that fic and it's definitely gonna happen in this one, eventually (although it's hardly gonna be long distance). But I'm talking Physically Interactive Sex where half the party Does Not Have An Actual Body. Who thought it would be fun to write that?
This fucking idiot, in case you're wondering. This one right here. /o\ Perhaps that's why it took me 28,961 words before I finally got to the first time sex yesterday. It was exhausting. A hair under 1,000 words took me nearly four (did I mention exhausting) hours, and I still gotta go back and revise. I was purely focused on the mechanics of everything yesterday so today I Revise With Feels.
Speaking of, have some Ghost Story ZYL feels from when he decides to let himself admit he's in love with a dead person:

Speaking of, have some Ghost Story ZYL feels from when he decides to let himself admit he's in love with a dead person:
The relief of admitting what he wanted, who he wanted, shifted his awkward anxiety toward pleasant anticipation. What was the point in being shy, or ashamed? He’d fallen in love with a ghost, but how could he not have fallen in love with Envoy once he met him? He’d lived half his life half in love with him already. He field-stripped the cigarette and leaned back into the window sill to look into the room. From where he stood at the edge of this incredible, magical attic, falling in love with Shen Wei had been inevitable.

What the heck is Bai Yu even doing!? You know, it still amuses me how much these two resemble the characters they play in Guardian. And I think we have Zhu Yilong to thank for that size difference: he obviously put on muscle on purpose to play Shen Wei. (Then went and lost the muscle so he could look just-this-side of plump for the spoiled rich boy he was playing in Story of Minglan, and then dropped all the fat so he could look gaunt-as-a-corpse for the role of Wu Xie... What amazing dedication! And here I am, unable to stick to a diet plan for even a week. *Sigh*)
I love all these teasers we're getting re: Ghost Story, but now I'm ridiculously impatient for you to just start posting already...

Truly, a question for the ages.
The things actors do to/with their body amazes and terrifies me. I mean, it's their job, but that's just not healthy in the long term.
I'm sorry to tell you that I'm going to finish the story before I start posting. I'm okay with posting as I edit (which is what I'll be doing because Good Lord this is turning into a freaking novel) but even the thought of posting as I write makes me intensely uncomfortable. What if I want to insert something back in an earlier chapter? Or move something to later? I CAN'T TAKE THAT KIND OF RESTRICTION.
But! I've written three months of story time in 23 days and the story takes place over ten months (plus a short epilogue that takes place a few years after everything goes down). So I'm about...a quarter of the way done?

I love this turn of phrase. *g*
Also, uh, I'm just gonna say in as vague a manner as possible (because holy wow is the context spoilery) that my single favorite fic EVER in the Newsflesh fandom is porn with only one person involved having a body, and it is amazing. So. You're in good company, is what I'm getting at.

Spoilers aside, though, while I expect that story would be good and powerful out of context, so much of its weight comes from really knowing the characters that I fear it would be a shadow of itself.
