I reblogged this Tweet on Tumblr about giving a good hand job (it was so funny I retweeted it, too). Hilarious, right? I didn't realize at the time that the previous one I reblogged is this bts one of Zhu Yilong's hand cream ad and if you read them in that order, it gives quite a spin on one's interpretations of his facial expressions. Especially when (to me) it looks like he's saying (in English) "You want me to do what?"

Another Ghost Story snippet, although I haven't written anything for it since Thursday:
Finally safe, he took a few moments to breathe before dragging himself up the stairs. He barely made it to the couch. An anxious curl of regret twisted his stomach. Regret? What—oh.

Zhao Yunlan’s emotional landscape was a nightmare, and he’d never been one for taking close inventory of his internal life. But when something new showed up in his feelings, he noticed. This wasn’t just new, this was something—someone—else. He had a piece of Shen Wei’s consciousness in him. [spoiler redacted] Zhao Yunlan could feel it, a tiny ember floating in his inner body. He clutched at his chest in an irrational attempt to hold onto the sensation, even as it dissipated.

“Shen Wei,” he said, softly, holding his hand a bare centimeter away from his heart. “Just…stay still. It’s fine.”

Haven't worked on Ghost Story much bc I wound up writing the SecretVirgin!ZYL story over two days (3k words) and it is currently in beta's hands. It'll be available on the Make Me Feel collection December 2nd, with authors revealed on December 7th.

Ha ha! Yeah, I was kinda annoyed that I had to wait that long, too. Especially since it's already back from beta bc she is fast. Stupid secret challenges!

I did! And it's alllllllmost done! Incredibly annoying that it won't be read until DECEMBER, UGH.

I mean, torment is pretty much a constant presence through the whole fic, but things definitely ramp up after this.

I'm glad that line is giving people feelings. It's such a small sentence but carries So Much Weight!

(ngl I am tempted to just post the damn thing bc I'm pretty sure I'm the only person going to be writing for Guardian in this? so it's not gonna be a secret when it posts anyway?)

I'm probably the only one not complaining about having to wait until December for the SecretVirgin!ZYL story. That will be perfect timing for it to act as inspiration (because I'm intrigued by the idea but I think I need to see it in action...)
