I'm beyond ready to start writing Canadian Shack. I actually have a title for it already \o/ but I'm worried it'll make people nervous. It's gonna be a much lighter tale than Ghost Story, though, promise! Well, as light as my stories get, I suppose...

The only new stuff I put to paper this week were additions to Ghost Story that either: don't make any sense out of context, or are huge spoilers. So in lieu of writing content I'm posting links the Guardian character music mixes I've been collecting for a while. I waited until I had at least ten songs for each to make them public (Zhao Yunlan is tricky for me to find songs for--probably the lesser angst quotient). I'll continue adding to them all as I come across appropriate songs, so these will be constant works in progress.

All the songs from my 5/20 and 6/13 mixes appear in one of those playmixes. I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep those since I rarely listen to them myself anymore BUT! if someone still listens to them, let me know. I won't be hurt at all if you make your own mix based off them, either.

I wish there were a better way to organize playlists on YouTube. I'd like to separate out my fanvid playlists from my music mixes. Someday I need to figure out why Spotify won't let me log in with anything other than my FB account. Or just start a new account, I suppose.

My regular stylist was becoming less and less aggressive with the layers as my hair got longer. I was starting to look very hippie. Which is...not my style. Got a recommendation from a local friend who also has long, wavy hair and this person was Not Shy With The Razor lemme tell ya.

Gotta wash before I can tell if I'm 100% happy with it, but I do like how much fluffier it is (and the face-framing! Good Lord did I need better face-framing). Wish she hadn't had to cut so much off the longest layer (lost about an inch and a half), but I told her to do what she needed to remove all the bad ends, so...

Holy shit, it's SO LONG!!!! How long have you been growing it out? In my head it's still in the curly, shorter-than-ear-length cut, even though I know you haven't had that short in a ages.

You remember my just-starting-to-grow-it-out length! I haven't cut more than the ends off every six months since 2009! =D

I think this goes back to Ye Olde LJ Bellydance Group days. Heck, I remember when you had it super short, with the long bits in the front!

Twist and diffuse! I'm curious to see how my curls/waves look after I wash and air dry it. My hair dryer mostly gets used for speed-drying paint and glue and I don't even own a diffuser attachment, so...

Those animal parallels! At first I was like ??? at Ye Zun = koala, but then I read the description, "Eats eats eats only one thing and it's not even digestible," "Throws loud screechy tantrums," and realised it was the perfect matchup after all XD

Also, ZYL's fox aesthetic and the Jing Ran one, "Tries to impress girl with how ARTISTE he is... Girl is not impressed," made me giggle non-stop for ages.
