2020
*looks up at 2020 from the bottom of the pit where I'm lying*

Okay, let's do this.
Twitter:
Bai Yu Tongue Bai Yu Tongue Bai Yu Tongue
A Twitter thread about The Living Dead that ascends into hilarity near the end. Spoilers, obvs.
The first email I saw this morning was a comment by someone re-reading Lollipop, and a whole bunch of people left kudos on Worth the Wait. So that was lovely! In other fic writing news, the dSSS creators were revealed, so I can post my contribution for this year. My first dS and my first gen fic!
Be a Conduit (2869 words)
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: due South
Rating: Gen
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Ray Vecchio, Harding Welsh
Additional Tags: Missing Scene
Summary: This was not how Ray anticipated the world would come to him.
I'm relieved the recipient liked it. Whew.
I renewed my sponsorship for the word fanfic on wordnik.com. Full disclosure, I'm acquainted (former internet buddies) with its founder Erin McKean, but it really is a great site for English language reference.
Health grossness: The cold seems to be moving along, at least. I'm already coughing up stuff (yay) and seem to be over the fever/chills portion (*knock*knock*). Going downstairs to make myself some tea nearly knocked me over, though. I'm ridiculously weak and shaky. This would be so much easier to deal with if I were home. sigh
My darling DMC (with whom I've been staying since the 29th, and who was supposed to be my party partner last night) has offered to take me to the main Kansas City drag bar for my birthday at the end of the month. Very sweet of him. I hope it works out. We'll see.
"We'll see." Probably a good motto for the coming year.
