I, too, would like a (non-shippy) buddy road trip with Wen Ning and Song Lan. Maybe one where they figure out how to bring back Xiao Xingchen?

Dunno how many (if any) of y'all are musical theater fans, but Universal is releasing Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals on Fridays, for a 48-hour period. The current one is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which... but! next week is JC Superstar (which is not only a great musical imo but dear to my heart for personal reasons). I don't know that many televised productions will be able to top that NBC live one from a couple years ago (that was amazeballs), but we'll see.

I did write a tiny bit of Deconstruction before I put it on temporary! hold:
Shen Wei nodded, grateful, unable to formulate any sort of verbal response. Zhao Yunlan gave him a quick hug and kiss before they disentangled themselves. The amusing awkwardness of getting dressed in front of each other was a welcome relief. A comforting rush warmed him to his belly when Zhao Yunlan helped him into his coat. He snorted at the reversed circumstances of Zhao Yunlan still helping Shen Wei into his now-necessary outwear.

I'm 100% convinced that Song Lan finds a way to bring back his soulmate (I wonder if soulmates are actually a thing in Untamed - AU ahoy!). Either that or the fact that he carries Xiao Xingchen's soul around with him leads to him talking out loud to him, and thinking that the responses he hears are in his imagination. Except they're not.

Seriously, though, I have so many plot bunnies for this fandom, it's not even funny. (There's such a big cast with such diverse personalities, and a lot of them are BAMFs in one way or another. The sheer character potential!) When I was doing the 30 Days of Guardian meme ages ago, I typed out an entire short story in itself about the mafia/gang AU of my heart, despite my blog being such a dead space that I doubt anybody except me and my sis even saw it, haha.
