Help a gal out with prompts please

Table One is no longer serving my immediate need of being a PWP for when I need a break from Deconstruction. I'm not shelving it! I think it could/will be a good story and I have every intention of finishing it. Just....it's up to 20k words now and I think even the most generous definition of PWP would not extend to it.

So I'm gonna go visit the various bunny farms, but if anyone has a prompt for a possible PWP that you think could be well-served by my particular, uh, skills (angsty porn although I think my recent forays into domestic bliss haven't been entirely unsuccessful), feel free to drop a suggestion in a comment.

Hmmmm...a sequel to "Hellbent for Leather" where Zhao Yunlan makes use of the "booty call" card and calls the Envoy? (How long to you think ZYL lasts before doing so...maybe a week?)

Creative use of Dixing powers #347: Shen Wei can 'invest' a part of his body into an inanimate object, so that touching the object is like touching him. When he has to go to Dixing, he gifts Zhao Yunlan with a dildo modeled on himself...maybe without telling him that he's 'invested' it. (Shen Wei's POV might be fun for this one, or if SW does tell him, ZYL's POV could be equally fun...phones don't work between Haixing and Dixing, so he just has to imagine what he's doing to Shen Wei when he plays with the toy...)

Remind me why you aren't a writer? 😂😂😂 Seriously, this is SUCH a great set-up and easily over 20k words if I'm gonna write it. The bit about losing immortality if they fall in love is brilliant. So DEFINITELY not a PWP but certainly something to keep in mind. It's delightfully angsty.

I wonder if there's a job for someone who can come up with entire plot frameworks, complete with characterisation and backstories, and/or can help writers out with fixing the direction of their story to stay within the themes while still being interesting, but who plays a minimal role in the actual writing process? If there were, then that would be my dream job, I think! (I don't mean betas. I'm probably too picky a reader to make a good beta, tbh.)

I did creative writing in (my country's equivalent of) high school cos my parents and teachers kept nagging me, and I did get to the Nationals a couple of times (never placed, though), but the process of writing causes me more stress and uncertainty than joy. I'm more of a fixer-upper and ideas-person than a writer, I think 😕

I think that's a type of co-writing, tbh. You just ("just!" 😆) need to find the person to do the line-by-line writing!

Oooh, this sounds like a cool and unusual idea! I feel like tv writers need a lot of that - the creativity is more important than the writing. It just made me think of a writers' room like John Rogers used to have on his shows, where it's all about fantasy and ideas and intricate story arcs - it seems to fit with your talent.

I certainly would need someone like that. :D I suck at plot!

And, yeah, I have this thing where whenever I see a show/book/etc. with an interesting concept that starts to flounder mid-way (which is most of them, tbh) I come up with ways they could have improved it, just for fun. Too bad I don't live in a country with any kind of movie industry or even a thriving literary field, or I could have tried to make something of it!

Sadly, I'm not at all tempted to write for Untamed. That would be a charming fic, though, oh my goodness. It would be an interesting exercise to write fic for a character I adore but am not actually attracted to.

Angst is most easily accomplished by sex-pollen-ish tropes. The Hallows Made Them Do It, for example. Hallow-induced fuck or die?

Plenty of angst potential and pretty much instant sex required without potential of distracting plot?

And just because the European re-watch-along watched ep 12, something riffing off Shen Wei volunteering for science in his dark tank top? I mean, if nothing else, ZYL can daydream about him? Not sure that's angsty yet, lol. :D
