That is dedication! I like Paul Gross a lot. Until I saw Slings and Arrows, he was always the guy I was happy to see in a show, even if I couldn’t quite place him.

Unfortunately, I can't generally recommend it these days because it's soooooo heavy on the copaganda, but oh I do love it when they're on screen together.

Yesss I am fascinated by the acting choice to do pushups differently than he usually does himself! I hadn't thought of the angle that it's because Wu Xie is just that proud but of course he is and of course he does it differently. THIS ACTOR. How is he so amazing?

Also: Bai Yu's adam's apple is doing...things...to me...

Hands down, one of my fave scenes.
The lines and the way they're acted and the whole context are like, a master class on being perfectly in character, peak Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei. (If there's anyone out there who shares my administration-saves-the-world kink, this scene alone should be enough to get them into Guardian.)
