Friends

I updated my friends list today. Friends lists are so weird.

There are eight or ten journals I read regularly besides those on my Friends list. But because I don't know the people, I feel silly adding them as a friend. So I just have them bookmarked. Several of them are people that are Friends of Friends whom I find fascinating and cool. A couple are people that I know about, but have never met. One, I must admit, is wilwheaton, who has the distinction of being my Latest Internet Crush (no fear, Wil, these usually last about three days unless you're the slackmistress, who I'm still a little taken with).

I know a lot of people have this love/hate relationship with the Friends list. I can't help feeling like it's some sort of popularity test. The whole thing is just sort of awkward sometimes.

Anyway, speaking of these people who I read who aren't on my Friends List: I just started reading thepencilneck's and found out that I am:

You're Jack Burton.
The Pork Chop Express.

As far as I'm concerned the friends list is just a bookmark management tool, nothing more.

Those who have a headtrip about it should get a freaking life...it's a blog community...

HA HA HA!!! So, basically, you're telling me I should get a freaking life? Hee hee.

Although I don't know that I'd say I have a headtrip about it. Just a vague sense of discontent.

=)

Nope, if I thought you had a head trip, I'd have said so and then pointed and laughed.

Being annoyed/concerned with the freaks who are freaky about something (and the wish to avoid unnessisary bullshit and drama) does not qualify as being freaky yourself. At least as far as I've ever been able to tell...
