A big step

Ok, well, I just made my appointment to have all my hair whacked off. 4:15 tomorrow, Tuesday, May 28. Think the current Neo 'do in Matrix: Reloaded, meets rockabilly pomp and DA. OK, breathe, breathe, breathe.

This feels not unlike when I made the appointment for my tongue piercing. I'm so scared and nervous and I wish it was just *over*.

And how's this for encouragement: Last night I was chatting with dear old mom on the phone. I told her I was going to cut all my hair off, in a sort of Neo-Elvis look (ar ar ar good one, eh?). There was a long pause, followed by "Oh I wish you hadn't told me." Then, before I could respond, "What will you do about your ears sticking out?"

THANKS MOM!

Cool in Summer

Easier to wear wigs.

Hair barrettes and pins

Every two-four weeks hair has a different look and nature- so fun!

Way less risk involved in changing the color

Looks free and daring (to me at least)

It is going to be long by winter if you don't like it.

Thanks for the support! Alas, I'm terribly allergic to hair dye. =( But I'm going to try henna to cover the few pesky white hairs that have appeared lately. I discovered over the weekend that trying to henna hair that's much below your jawline is just a giant PITA and *not* worth the trouble. Bleh!
