What's in a name

A stripper name, actually. [livejournal.com profile] roya_spirit sent this to me.
1. Use the third letter of your first name to determine your new first name:

r = Sugar
s = Candy
t = Raquelle
u = Sapphire
v = Cinnamon
w = Blaze
x = Trixie
y = Isis
z = Jade

i = Lusty

k = Passion

o = Glitter
p = Razor
q = Meadow
r = Glitz
s = Sparkle
t = Sweet
u = Silver
v = Tickle
w = Cherry
x = Hard
y = Night
z = Amber

3. Use the third letter of your last name to determine the second half of your new last name:

Diamond Sparklejugs? Oh hell no.

I'm very sad that Sam's Club no longer carries the giant tubs of shiitake mushrooms. Or my favorite cheese-filled pasta, Or dried granny smith apple slices. Plus a handful of other items I miss quite a bit. I might cancel my membership and join the CostCo flock since my favorite specialty items don't seem to be making it to Sam's shelves anymore. Perhaps I could beg [livejournal.com profile] everflame or [livejournal.com profile] cedarsong to pick me up the Black Diamond Aged Cheddar every once in a while.

House cleaning efforts met with acceptable if not outstanding success. The bathroom is sparkling, the kitchen looks great, the bedroom is okay, and the living room only needs vacuumed. Let us not speak of the sewing room and closet.

I have a three-week hiatus until the next yoga class. I don't mind missing the drive to Baldwin, but three weeks without Gopi or any after-class burfi treats? That's rough.

Though I think I'd rather have "Black Diamond Aged Cheddar" as a stripper name....

[identity profile] the-themiscyran.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Sapphire Leather-ridge. Hmm. This seems to be a theme for me, as my porn star name; Childhood best friend + First Street Address = Stacey Rawhide. I am amused.

In other news, if you do decide to switch over to CostCo, would you be interested in sharing a membership? I've thought about joining one of those things before, but I'm not certain how often we'd use it, so I haven't yet.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Alas, when I checked into it last, CostCo doesn't allow you to share a membership like Sam's does. =(

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I was a little disappointed in that, myself. Sam's offers an additional membership card to a second party at only $15 extra a year. Handy little thing, that, and makes sense business-wise since it gets a second customer in the store at half the cost of a full membership.

[identity profile] green-tara76.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, my roommate and I are sharing a membership, and my former roomie and I shared one too. The Costco in KC seems not to have an issue with it.
Recent steal: Roasterie beans only $12 for a 2lb bag! I believe I did spy some Black Diamond roaming the deli area, along with yummy Dubliner cheese.

Oh, and Sugar Glittertush. Bleh, though it makes me want to dress like a '70's rollergirl and wear goopy lip gloss.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Odd. When I asked about it at the store in OP, they said no shared memberships unless you purchase the business membership, which was a lot more expensive. Perhaps they've changed policies since you joined and grandfathered you in? Dunno. I'll ask again when I go with [livejournal.com profile] rougewench.

Sounds like that particular store (or manager) is a stickler. Just rejoined and added my roommate at the one in Midtown, with no problems at all.

[identity profile] solan-t.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
One wonders what kind of name you have to start with to get something interesting. I mean, Sugar Spank-kiss? ew!

[identity profile] solan-t.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, using my maiden name I get Sugar Lusty-Whip, which is getting better....

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I rather like being Montana Leatherwhip!

[identity profile] bountifulpots.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Chesty Dazzleshock? That's just bizarre...

[identity profile] motherpockets.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah? Try Princess Glitterthighs!

[identity profile] arian1.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Lola Glitterthong.

Well...ok then..

Sugar Leather-Cheeks

[identity profile] lightonthesill.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Um.... no. I'd go with just Sugar though.

[identity profile] skyflame.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Blaze Silverthighs. Uh-huh.

I can check about the shiitake mushrooms at CostCo if you like.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I might beg to tag along with [livejournal.com profile] rougewench next time she goes (*bats eyelashes at Neester fetchingly*), but thank you for the offer.

[identity profile] rougewench.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I will happily take you over to Costco any time your little heart desires, my dear.

D.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you!!! Perhaps next month sometime?

[identity profile] rougewench.livejournal.com 2006-05-24 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
No problemo. Any time except the weekend of the 9th,10th, 11th as I'm booked solid. Just let me know when you wanna go.

I'll be in Costco this weekend hopefully, and If I am the mushrooms will be yours my Queen. My company has a new gig in Lawrence so I can drop them off to you (with the CD I made you) relatively easy.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool! Hey, it'll be great to see you!

[identity profile] iron-clad.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Likewise, I miss you. :)

Montana Leatherjugs?

[identity profile] zokah.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
i sound like i'm eighty with skin hanging in folds around my tits and cooch. i don't think so.

The thing with Costco or even Sam's Club is where does one put 87 rolls of toilet paper. i mean in my tiny little apartment in the city, i barely have room for four of 'em much less a twelve pack.

and how many cans of diced tomatoes am i really going to go through?

Re: Montana Leatherjugs?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. The TP storage is an issue. However, for those of us in the midwest with larger apartments, it's not quite so bad.

Amusingly, canned tomatoes are the #1 thing on my list, every time. I use at least two cans a week. =D
