Slowly advancing to CotK
I'm itching for some new music. I broke the piggy bank and bought some of the cheaper CDs on my Amazon wish list. Every once in a great while I treat myself by buying anything $5 or less on my wishlist. This is one of those times...especially with all the time I'm spending locked in my apartment lately. I need some new tunes.
Yesterday I started work on revising the current English website to comply with the new KU web standards. After an hour I decided this was something that definitely required more stimulants than I currently had on hand here. Ugh. This is a job for ephedrine.
Also yesterday, while rehearsing in the dance studio, I pulled a muscle in my right hip. Ow. Stupid. Ow. It's a good thing I said I wouldn't be dancing at Aladdin tonight.
A zillion thanks to
cedarsong for helping me fit the pattern for my belt. After she and the very patient
everflame left I made a fabric mock-up, fiddled with a couple alterations, and transfered those to paper. Then I got up early this morning and traced the final pattern. Tonight: cut the real fabric and get the base tacked together. I'll have the entire costume finished by the end of the weekend if I don't let myself get sidetracked. That will give me three days of rehearsal in the costume before the show. I've never had a wardrobe malfunction on stage *knock*knock* because I'm a stickler for test-running all costumes before performance. But the completion date on this costume was running pretty close to the wire.
And now that I've eaten breakfast, it's time for another dose of ibuprofen to relax this hip muscle. And maybe some more caffeine. Thunderstorms are all well and good but I'm (literally) tired of being kept awake by them.

I agree with the need for speed.
Bleck.

Thoughts of music and dancing are much more tempting.

Keen. What kind of music are you looking for?

I need to find someone with NIN's latest. I've heard it's very fine, but would like a preview before I drop my $$.

Here, have a listen. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001F7US4/ref=pd_bxgy_text_b/102-9758111-4739340?ie=UTF8) You'll need to scroll down a bit . . .
I can burn some Squirrel Nut Zippers if you'd like . . . I'm avoiding work . . .

I'll just buy the Squirrel Nut Zippers. I only use burned CDs when I'm trying to decide if I like a band or not. I have a weird thing about paying for music. Thank you for the offer, though!

We had talked before that you wanted me to burn a cd of some Indian pop music . . . maybe I misunderstood about burning cd's.

And, btw, I *did* notice that those were your manacles in PotC. ;)
