In a nutshell

Friday. Friday night, in particular. What the hell was up with that weather? I'm relieved we didn't get the up-to-six-inches on Saturday, but leaving Bigg's BBQ post Magic-tourney with the guys and facing a car covered in sleet? That was crazy. No, I did not play in the tournament. I was just there for the food. The weather was crazy. Not me.

Because I cancelled my plans to go to KC on Saturday, the day was lovely with beautiful weather and balmy temperatures (naturally!). So of course I spent a large chunk of the afternoon in a dark, climate-controlled theater seeing Grindhouse with [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick. We shared the theater with one very large, very sleepy, very snoring Hispanic dude. Eventually, I walked up to where he was sitting and tried to wake him up, but he fell right back asleep. Oh, well. The movie was loud enough, and the snoring provided some extra humor. The whole audience would laugh at the occasional especially loud snores.

Sunday, [livejournal.com profile] nottygypsy came over to try on her new bodice. It looks pretty good! It's a bit too big, though, and a modesty panel wasn't necessary. I'm going to have to make the next one a little smaller. We are not rebuilding bodices halfway through the run again this year. No. No no no.

Today I wore my "I'm not sure this doesn't make me look pregnant" dress. Anyone on campus is welcome to stop by to give their opinion. I wore a sports bra under it, though, since it was a little too boobilicious for work with the plunge bra. It looked great, but that look doesn't need to come to the office.

Somewhere or another, I've lost my bottle of antibiotics. Great.

Finally, I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating: I am very particular about my own privacy rights, and I respect the rights of the privacy of others. I will never distribute communications shared with me and I expect others to respect me in a similar fashion. This particular point does not need further discussion or comment here. If you wish to discuss it with me privately, in person or in email, that's fine. Thanks.

The high-waisted style of the dress looks really nice. I'm sure it's flattering on you.

Aw, thanks. I did widen the midriff band by two inches, so it looks more like an obi band than the empire-waist style. That helped a lot!

Awww, no boobilicious on monday? However were your co-workers supposed to kick-start their week :)?

One Halloween I wore my whore garb to work. I think everyone in English had their Lydia Boob Quotient filled for life.

Just to reiterate: the dress looks great. :)

Thanks, hon!

I'll definitely be making more. I've received nearly a dozen compliments on it today, and only two of them were from LJers, so it must look pretty good.
