But this is TOTALLY my life
This is so typical.
Today is Media Party for KCRF. The call is 4:30, so I planned to leave the office at noon, get ready, and go to site. Earlier this week I started to think I'd just take the whole day off, because why not sleep in when I have the chance?
Yesterday a potential applicant called to schedule a campus visit for Monday or Tuesday of next week. Our Grad Director couldn't meet with her on Tuesday, so I had to pull everything together for a Monday visit. It didn't happen yesterday, so I had to come in today after all.
At 9:30 a.m., the person called to cancel the visit.
*headdesk*
I'm trying to decide if I should stick it out here to save the vacation time--you know, I'm already here--or go home. Going home seems kind of silly, since I won't be able to fall back asleep, and there's really not much I can do at the house (don't want to mess up my just-done nails).
I suppose I might as well stay. Only two more hours and twenty minutes until I was supposed to leave, anyway.
sigh
