Antsy
It hailed on me as I walked to work this morning.
saffronhare mentioned to me "It's very hard not to take hail personally," and that (while it made me grin) is entirely too true.
What the hell is up with this crazy weather? Last night on the way to yoga class,
cedarsong,
everflame and I watched an electrical storm southeast of town. Craziness. These shifting patterns and more-so-than-normal weather events are starting to creep me out.
I broke down and bought some fabric at fabric.com today. They had some charming teeny brown pinstripe twill on sale for $1.99/yd and you'd better believe I snapped that right up. I also got some oriental brocade in a color I don't currently own (a sort of pastel-ish green that isn't too obnoxiously girly) and a dark green heavyweight denim that will make a charming contrast skirt with the flowered brocade. Of course I can't sew any of this (or rather, refuse to sew) until I have a table for sewing. The vibrations of the shaking cutting table are, at this point, intolerable. I can't sew on that surface anymore.
I have an overwhelming desire to go home at noon today. *eyes clock* Less than an hour. Hm. Maybe I'll discuss the possibility of me going home early today with the rest of the office after I sort my incoming mail.

One possible answer: Invasion from Mongo, 1980s style (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080745/).
