Brrr
I don't think my doing this will have the same effect as my father would, but I'll give it a try.
*stern look at weather*
I am very, very disappointed in you.
Last night,
mckitterick and I got to see just a bit over the first quarter of the eclipse. That is, we got to see it get a little bit over halfway dark, and just barely starting to turn orange, before clouds rolled in. By the time the moon was in full eclipse, we had total cloud cover and couldn't see anything at all. Very sad.
mckitterick did get out the telescope, though, so what we did see we saw right proper. By sheer luck, I happened to look into the eyepiece just as a small private plane flew in front of the moon. I happened so fast I barely registered what I'd seen, but wow! Very cool. I wound up doing jumping jacks and jogging in place to stay warm. Brrr.
And the continuing yuckiness *glares at weather* *weather remains unswayed* probably means that my lovely evening plans with
bestill are cancelled, too.
I wore The Vest to work today and have already learned a valuable lesson. My office is Too Cold for anything with less coverage than a full sweater over a long-sleeved undershirt. I'm absolutely freezing. I had to put my cardigan on over the vest. Which totally ruins the effect. Alas. But I wore it! It's lovely.

This means, however, that while I won't stop working on the vest I started last night, I'm definitely going to get started on that long-sleeved cardigan/jacket--pronto.

Wish you could have been with us last night - it was so cold we couldn't bear to stay outdoors more than a few minutes at a time, so my dance buddies and I were watching belly dance videos and then intermittently running outside to see the eclipse; damn cold, but clear as a bell. I'll try to post with pictures, if I can wrest them away from T...but lucky you to have a telescope to see the first part!

I envy you the clear sky last night!
Pretty!

Great vest. Guess you just need to knit twin sets or something.

J wants me to have one like it. He loves it. And so do I. Can I borrow the pattern? Or maybe I should try yours on first, since we're often so dissimilar in clothing fit. *sigh*
Where that hell is Rand when we need him? He was always good with the weather changing.
I got one lil crappy pic of the eclipse. But I'm happy I got one.

Misread "eclipse" as "codpiece." It is SO past my bedtime...
