Multi-point bulletin
I have a policy at work regarding the photocopier: If I hear a faculty member (it's always faculty or the *ahem* long-time lecturers) cursing and/or yelling at the photocopier, I don't even get up from my desk, much less offer to assist. If you can't behave like a civilized adult in the office, you don't deserve my unsolicited offer of help.
So there.
Today I paid off the last bit of remaining balance on my credit card. That feels really good.
I woke up three minutes before my alarm this morning (woo!), and spent 30 minutes on the Nordic Track. Followed it up with crunches on the balance ball and pushups until my arms wouldn't hold me up anymore. Due to illness, allergies, illness, and general yuckiness, I haven't exercised in nearly a month. I am weak now. Ugh. I hope to be back up to speed by the end of the month. I need to be moderately close to my desired weight/size by the end of July because that's the longest I can put off making dance costumes for Faire.
Yes, I'll be belly dancing half-time at KCRF this year. I plan to dance at Smoker one day and whore the other day for the seven weekends of the run. I don't know which day will be which yet. That will probably change from week to week, depending on which day
anerys has a second dancer lined up. I'm really looking forward to this. A belly dance stage show was my initial involvement at KCRF, and it will be great to do it again, even on (especially on) a limited scale. I don't think I'd be up for five shows a day again. Oh my god, did we really do that? Geez.
I'm going gluten-free for a week to see if it affects my energy level/tendency to bloat/overall health. Wish me luck. I did fine over the weekend, but I was self-indulgent and allowed myself Thai food, sushi, and Chinese. I figured I could distract myself with rice. It worked pretty well! But that gets expensive (and whoa! sodium!), so it's back to home cooking for the rest of the week. *sigh*
Finally--I saved the best for last--
solan_t is the bomb. Hooray for someone who doesn't get impatient with my need for hand-holding when it comes to learning something new. I am not a quick study when it comes to anything (choreography, sewing techniques, any new skill really) and her fortitude is admirable. Yay for good friends!
EDIT: Argh. I went to go put in my order for boning, busk, etc., and realized I left the list of sizes I need at home. Grrr.

Me too. Their only revenge is that they jam it up and leave.

Credit pay-off, whoot!
As for civilized adults in the office? wow, you might not ever want to visit a law firm behind the scenes, lol. Tis a running joke that our interviewees have to be fathomed out to know if the F-Bomb is going to be a problem for them to hear at work. But not so much at inanimate objects, mainly as a reaction to just getting off the phone with one or another idiot. then again, I am beginning to believe that gov't agencies are inanimate objects for as slowly as anything gets done!

NOT.

We should make up an office sign. Like those non-motivational posters!
