Amend that to "Frailty, thy name is Chernobyl Red"
For the love of gods, people.
Last night
adammaker came over for dinner and I mentioned to him how when I was taking out the trash earlier in the evening, my right hip just went out and I almost fell down in the back yard. I laughed a bit about how I'm too young for this sort of thing to be happening and I hoped it was just the weird weather and blah blah.
Well, this morning I nearly couldn't get out of bed from the pain and even now the joint feels hot and achey. The sensation of uncomfortable warmth is new, and hence worrisome. My hip joints often ache after a day out at faire, or walking 20+ miles on concrete sidewalks during vacations, but not like this--after a day of fairly easy exercise and self-pampering thanks to That Time Of The Month.
So instead of exercise this morning (in retrospect I should not have posted my exercise goals until I had successfully reached them for a full week), I went to the grocery store and limped around, letting the cart bear a lot of my weight. I will exercise tonight (when I usually go to the grocery store) after my joints are loosened up from the warm walk home and maybe a mixed drink or two (perhaps the stationary bike instead of the ski machine tonight).
In the meantime: Ow.

I hope it's a very very very temporary thing.

Too.

I hope it feels better soon.

Yuck - I do hope this is temporary and you are feeling better soon!

I hate cold packs, but at least it's summer and shouldn't be so bone-achingly miserable to put ice on.

My hips will occasionaly decide they don't like me much, but nothing quite like that. Don't panic or anything, but do you think you might want to talk to a doctor about that?

fish oil tablets.
I have found them to be invaluable for dealing with inflammation, particularly in the long term.

I already take fish oil and glucosamine. I wonder if I need to look into something else, in addition.
I am also beginning to wonder if this increased joint inflammation is a result of my body starting to react to the new allergy treatment. Maybe? *shrug*

I am well familiar with body goals gone astray due to out of the blue body suxxorness (f'ing back of mine). I have no excuse for eating WAY too many chips with salsa today other than it's my period.

I didn't see this until now - hope you're doing better by this point, that "twingy" isn't too horrible.
And we'll see the hopefully normal and healthy you on Thursday! We're both really looking forward to it, and should be in touch very soon re: more concrete plans for the weekend.
