Ugh

I didn't think it was possible to end the day more bloated than I started it. In an effort to purge this bloat, I fasted today (except for some coffee because I'm not ready to go that far yet) and yes, I'm more bloated than I was this morning. This is an objective observation, I swear. I'm not just having a fat day.

My body is amazing. These jeans that were falling off me this time last week are so tight that my stomach is bulging over the waistband, even when I stand up. If I suck in my gut as hard as I can, my jeans fit the way they did less than seven days ago.

Really. Uncomfortable.

Tomorrow, I take a water pill. I'm also cutting out starches for the time being (no rice, corn, oats, etc.), completely nixing sugar, and cutting back drastically on the nuts and nut butters.

What water pills do you use? What are the benefits/drawbacks? I've considered them a few times but haven't tried it yet...

I use the expensive Aqua-ban ones. They're blue. I don't remember what the difference is exactly, but I've tried both kinds, and the pricier ones worked better for me. OF COURSE.

I've used Aqua-ban since high school, probably two or three times a year, depending on the severity of my period.

I used them pretty regularly during faire, too, because I know I bloat so easily, and I didn't want extra water sloshing around while I was performing.

What an uncomfortable way to go through the day! I hope it, um, passes soon.

Thanks! ME TOO. This stinks.

How freakin' weird!
I wonder if there's something in the tuna packs, like msg?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-11-12 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't have a problem with MSG. I think this is a combination of too much salt and sugar and not enough healthy fiber and greens.

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2008-11-13 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Bleh. Those words strike fear into my system:
Healthy fiber and greens

Strangely, those are the very things that bloat me beyond all control!

What freaks these bodies be, lol.

Just picked up some random info that B12 sublingual or intramuscular supplementation helps with sulfite sensitivity. I may give it a try, hell, what can some extra B12 hurt anyway?

Ick.

Your body is amazing. Maybe it's preparing you for something really, really good. Maybe?

I think it's more likely that it's telling me to stop feeding it crap.

At least I can reassure myself that if this showed up so fast, it should go away fast, too. Right? Right.

your body is the opposite of mine - no matter what I tend to do mine dosen't change - working out 3 days a week or being a couch potate for 3 months. I can only imagine how annoying it would be to have my body constantly fitting clothes differently

My body has been really wacky the past six months. I'm wondering if this is some sort of age-related shift.
